Microsoft had copy Mac OS X features (finder, iCal, Widget) then add-in some new features and put it on Windows Vista.. So what Apple did on Mac OS X Leopard? copy it (new features on Windows Vista) back.. and make it better..Let take a look at the new features on Leopard.. Vista lets give you thumbnail view of document so you not need to open the document, Leopard also let you do that in Cover Flow style.. Vista lets you restore accidently deleted files, Leopard had Time Machine the most easy to use file restore program to restore back system setting, document etc.. Vista had a lot of transparency effect, well Apple had bring transparency menu back in Leopard..
Although Leopard was Apple attempt to beat Windows Vista and bring new PC user and existing user that don't like to upgrade to Windows Vista switch to Mac.. but it will become not so successful.. This is due to myth that surrounding Mac had became untrue:
1. Mac don't crash: Mac does crash this time with blue screen appearing on some Leopard machine..
2. Mac is secure: You need to think twice.. Because some of the new virus are now attacking Mac this time..
3. Mac is fast: With the new features like the new Finder and transluent menu.. Leopard run slowly on old Mac machine..
Look like we'll wait for 10.5.1 update then...
